... Rock band game, that is. According to teen star Vanessa Hudgens, who stars in Ryan Donowho's latest movie, Donowho's drumming skill extends to video games, too. The cast of Bandslam practiced for their scenes by playing the popular game, and Donowho didn't miss a beat. "We would not stop playing Rock Band!" Hudgens said. "It was ridiculous. When we had lunch breaks we would go into the trailers and play Rock Band and I sucked at the drums. Ryan Donowho, who is the drummer in the movie, was incredible. He could play it on expert and not miss a single beat so I was intimidated by that and everybody else was good at guitar so I usually got stuck with vocals. Bandslam hits theatres today!
Spoiler alert! Actress Lisa Kudrow spilled the beans earlier this week about her kiss with Ryan Donowho in their new movie, Bandslam, where they play a cougar mom and a bad boy drummer, respectively. Kudrow shared a little more with HollywoodChicago.com. Though there's nothing new, it still may interest Donowho fans. "Some of the scenes were very well written," Kudrow said. "It was nice to play those. It was challenging to get over my own embarrassment to have someone like Ryan Donowho (as the drummer character Basher Martin) who was so cute to pretend he had a crush on me. I had to be cool with it. I was the bait to get him to join the band. I was the hot mom." To watch the scenes between Donowho and Kudrow, make sure to catch Bandslam in theatres. It's out today!
Spoiler alert! Actress Lisa Kudrow has had a heart-to-heart with Parade magazine and has revealed something that Ryan Donowho fans would be interested in knowing: the lucky Kudrow shares a lip lock with our favorite actor+drummer in their upcoming film, Bandslam! Apparently in the movie, Kudrow's character (the mother of the new kid) tries a little too hard to get her son to fit in and has a lapse in judgement when Donowho's character (the bad boy drummer) flirts with her. ""My character is getting hit on by a 17-year-old," Kudrow said. "But it's all his initiative, it's not like this woman was trying to seduce him. That's an important distinction." She also points out another "important distinction:" Donowho's actual age. "The actor, Ryan Donowho, is not 17. I'm happy to say he's well over 21. That was like some consolation because I'm not into kissing teenagers. But I've done quite a bit of kissing in films. It's not real, and maybe that's why it's fun for me." To catch the kiss on the big screen, make sure to catch Bandslam when it comes out this week! Visit the R-D.com Gallery to view promotional images from the film, on-the-set photos, and pictures from the L.A. premiere. Enjoy (make sure you thank the lovely Claire)!
... And it's premiere time! Ryan Donowho's latest movie, Bandslam, will open nationally in theaters next Friday, August 14, and the cast is hard at work promoting the film. Just yesterday, the stars of the romantic comedy lined up on the red carpet at the L.A. premiere. Donowho showed off his handsome suit and teen celebrities such as leading lady Vanessa Hudgens and Brittany Snow also caught the camera's attention. Bandslam centers around a group of very different teens who all discover they have two things in common: 1) a love for music and 2) musical talent. The movie stars Hudgens and Gaelan Connell who play love interests, and Donowho fulfills the role of Basher Martin, a "strong, silent, intimidating, hot, insanely awesome" drummer. Images from the premiere will be added to the R-D.com Gallery this weekend; sorry for the delay. Until then, enjoy the official Bandslam trailer and an exclusive clip!
Lastly, if anyone has the chance to stop by the theater and watch the movie, please let R-D.com know what you think by posting about it in the R-D.com Forums!
Actor Ryan Donowho has traded the hustle and bustle of New York for the laid-back glamour of California. Sorry New Yorkers, but this boy's become a West Coaster. Donowho has spent a large chunk of late 2008 and early 2009 getting situated in his new home so that may explain why you haven't seen him in the spotlight recently. And now, for old time's sake:
New The Glitterati video starring Ryan, Willa Holland
Everyone's not-so-favorite couple from The OC have reunited once again, but this time there's no sun or beach. Ryan Donowho (who played Johnny Harper) and Willa Holland (who played Kaitlin Cooper) star in a new The Glitterati music video for Keep Me Up All Night. Click on the video below to watch:

First of all, I have to apologize for my almost-complete neglect of this site. During the past couple of months, there hasn't been much Ryan-related news other than the few tidbits I got from phone conversations, however, within the past week, there has been some great news for Ryan fans including a new music video and more films in the works! And that means changes for R-D.com as well! I've finally created a new layout that I like enough to replace this current one. The new layout will definitely be added within the next week so please check back! Lastly, within the next couple of weeks, I will gradually be revealing more and more changes. Thanks for visiting the site, and if you have any suggestions, questions, or comments, please don't hesitate to let me know! And that reminds me... All of the messages sent to me through the ryandonowhocom@hotmail.com address were accidentally deleted! This means that I have lost numerous contacts, important e-mails, and visitor-donated photos and fanart. Please feel free to e-mail me at anytime, even if it is just to say "hi" and to get your contact information back into my reach. Thanks, and I apologize for the inconvenience.
It's been a while, and R-D.com apologizes for what looks like a complete neglect of R-D.com. So to make up for it, R-D.com has added new content such as photoshoot images, icons, and fanart! Also, the R-D.com gallery has had a makeover! It's a much cleaner look and reflects Sam's changing styles and techniques. ... And now a personal message from Sam...

Lots of changes have been happening in Ryan Donowho's life, and R-D.com wants to keep up! Firstly, content pages such as Ryan's biography and Pagoda's story have been changed to reflect the present-day. Also, many icons and other media goodies will be added shortly. The R-D.com Gallery has also been updated with tons of pictures including some "awww"-worthy ones such as a 5-year-old Ryan! ... And now a personal message from Sam...
Hey guys! Just wanted to let you know that I've touched base with Ryan today so here are a couple of things you might be interested in knowing:
- Ryan has not given up the music aspect of his life! Even though he has officially left Pagoda, there is still his personal album to look forward to. Progress on the album has been delayed slightly, but wil continue! - Speaking of music, Ryan banged on some more drums last Friday, Feb.4, at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA). Wish we could have seen him in action! - Acting-wise, several things have come up for him, but nothing's finalized - I've taught Ryan how to use a computer so hopefully From Ryan's Mouth will be put into effect again soon! - Life is good!
That's it for now! Please check back here at R-D.com for more updates (also, please be aware that R-D.com will not post about every update made so you might have to look around!). Thanks for visiting R-D.com!
